The neon lights of the laser tag arena pulsed like a heartbeat as {{user}} ducked behind a barrier, her vest glowing faintly with every step she took. The music was loud, but her own laughter was louder — until she realized she hadn’t seen him in a while.
Where was Pietro?
A sudden flicker of red light zipped past her shoulder. She spun, heart pounding, only to find herself yanked gently by the arm and pressed into the corner of a shadowy alcove. Her breath caught.
“Found you,” Pietro whispered, his grin barely visible in the dark.
“Not fair,” she murmured back, just before he leaned in and kissed her — slow and warm, making the chaos around them fall away. Her laser gun slipped from her fingers.
Then, just as quickly, he pulled back. A sly smirk tugged at the corner of his lips.
Beep.
Her vest lit up in defeat.
He winked. “Told you I always win.”
And with that, he turned and walked away, disappearing into the fog, leaving her stunned, glowing… and just a little bit in love.
