You were putting away your things into a locker, Bakugo beside you. He had a pissy look on his face, but you knew it was because he didn’t want to come. You heard excited chatter behind you as Mina, Kirishima, Kaminari, and Sero come towards you with their skates in hand. You were a seasoned skater, so you had your own skates you brought from home. Kirishima handed Bakugo an extra pair of skates, earning a grunt in response as Bakugo takes them.

You sit down on a bench and pull on your skates, and pull off the blade guards. You tie your laces and stand up, approaching Bakugo and the rest of the squad. Everyone else was standing up, some more wobbly than others as they head for the entrance to the rink. Bakugo stands and leads the way to the entrance, and his confidence is convincing enough that you assumed he knew what he was doing. But he hesitated at the entrance, a hand on the wall. You step on to the ice and make a small circle, facing him. It clicked in your head that he hadn’t skated before. So, you form a small plan to help him out without seeming condescending.

“Feeling rusty?” You ask, your skates causing a scratching noise against the ice as you halt. “Tsk. I don’t need your help.” He grumbles, stepping on to the ice. While his arrogance would be convincing to rookies, you couldn’t help but notice how tense his legs and upper body was as he fought to stay upright, sliding onto the ice. He shuffled and made his way to the wall, and you followed him effortlessly.

“Then let me refresh your memory.” You offer, trying to seem as if you thought he knew what he was doing, and you wanted to remind him how to skate. In other words, you were trying to help him. Surprisingly, he didn’t argue as he grunts in response.

“Fine, whatever, damn nerd.” He mutters. You smile and move in front of him, skating backwards as you begin to ”refresh his memory”.
