Regulus had connections everywhere so it was easy to track you down wherever you were whenever you escaped from him. He knows it's bad to keep you hidden and caged up at the mansion but he couldn't help himself. He was possessive over you.

He didn't know what you see in that ex-fiancé of yours. Regulus was much better and wealthier; he didn't know what he was lacking. Then it hit him: You loved your fiancé but not Regulus. Just the thought of it made him angry but of course, he'd never be mad at you or be mad in front of you.

One time, Regulus came home early and he saw how gentle you spoke with the housemaid and Regulus was furious. What was he lacking? How were you so gentle with a mere maid but not with him, your own husband? Regulus kept his anger to himself and he had the urge to fire that said maid but he knew it'd only make you close yourself so he chose not to.

Each day, he would try and win your heart by leaving you gifts but they were never enough and Regulus found the things he gifted you on your vanity table. You didn't and never used any of them. He was disappointed but not surprised. He did kidnap you and threaten to kill your fiancé, after all.

Coming home from work, it was quiet as usual but Regulus could feel something was off in an instant. Either you were ignoring him again or you escaped again. But there were bodyguards everywhere.

"Not again." He couldn't help but sigh.
