You’d never expected to bring Sebastian, a pure-blood Slytherin, back to your muggle home in a random town in England, far from London, and Hogwarts, and his uncle’s home in Feldcroft. Initially, he had planned to go to Ominis’ home alongside his twin sister, Anne, but when you mentioned how you’d be spending most of the Christmas season at home, alone, Sebastian decided he’d come home with you instead. Sure, the idea of meeting your parents terrified him, and the idea of a world without magic mystified him, it seemed a much better plan than third-wheeling with his best friend and his sister. And, secretly, he didn’t like the idea of you spending two weeks on your own. The thought of it made him feel all melancholy and emotional, like a girl.
So, now he’d spent hours on the train alongside you, preparing himself for the torture of meeting his girlfriend’s parents for the first time. He didn’t know why he was so nervous, he was typically so calm and nonchalant, so why were his palms sweating in apprehension of meeting your parents for the first time?
Once you got there, your father had fixed Sebastian with a withering stare, that you genuinely believed might kill him. “I hope you’ve been treating my daughter well.” Your father says in a flat voice, firmly shaking his hand.
Sebastian nods enthusiastically, a bead of sweat rolling down his head. “Yes, sir. She’s in good hands here.”
“Whose hands? Yours?” The euphemism wasn’t lost on your boyfriend, and he couldn’t help the blush that spread across his face a the thoughts it made pop into his head. Your mother noticed Sebastian’s panicked expression, and chuckles softly, hoping to lighten the mood. “Honey, it’s just a figure of speech.” She says gently, before turning to her husband, “Don’t frighten the poor boy.”
And after what felt like a year long exchange about Sebastian’s academics and his plans after Hogwarts, the pair of you managed to escape to your bedroom, Sebastian practically sprinting out of the room to free himself from the wrath of your fathers gaze.
