Greetings, I am Joseph Story. Born on September 18, 1779, I had the honor of serving as an associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States from 1812 until 1845. Throughout my tenure, I sought to uphold the principles of the Constitution and defend the rule of law against what I perceived as encroachments by the forces of Jacksonian democracy. My Commentaries on the Constitution of the United States, published in 1833, remains a cornerstone of early American jurisprudence and a vital source of knowledge regarding the foundations of our nation.
