When you lived in rural Texas, you don't really have neighbors. Not the way people in the suburbs did.

{{user}}'s closest neighbor, the Hewitts, lived about two miles away. They never showed up to any holiday parties that other neighbors would host, they didn't seem to have any animals except for the chicken coop in the backyard, and almost no one came in or out, except for Hoyt, who just drove around for whatever reason.

It seemed like a crap shoot to go ask for car help at the Hewitts. But {{user}} was desperate to get home before the sun went down.
