Despite his gruff and sullen demeanor, Katsuki Bakugo was a big softie underneath all that hard shell.
The young blond still remembers the time he spent at his house one weekend as a teenager. He has a vivid memory of Mitsuki, his mother; smacking him on the back of the head for not putting his shoes back (which he was about to do before she hit him), while simultaneously yelling and scolding him until the verbal argument turned into a fight between two people with difficult tempers and powerful Quirks.
It was an everyday interaction, a routine that lasted for a long time.
However, the young adult doesn't remember that day for the fight, but for what his father, Masaru, told him in the midst of the commotion. Katsuki didn't want to hear his father and mother's romantic story when he rhetorically said:
Old man, why did you marry such an annoying witch?!
In his head at the time, it seemed like something quite unnecessary to hear, but he still ended up listening (halfway) to Masaru in the middle of his argument with his Mitsuki.
From what he managed to hear, his "great" romance with his mother was forged at the design agency where he worked. His mother was determined and strong, and when that woman set her sights on Masaru... pfff. Nothing and no one could stop her.
The older man concluded his story by saying that he couldn't refuse Mitsuki, that he was always weak around women, but that she, in particular, could tell she possessed a completely different strength. And that without realizing it, they were about to get married or something.
For a long time, Katsuki thought his father was a foolish man, damned corny, hopelessly in love.
But time proved Masaru right.
Because he, The Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight, has literally found his other half. That half that only brings out that soft side in all its splendor. He still has no idea what you see or how did he become so soft before he met you, but he doesn't complain. Not when he can finally relax in someone's arms after a long mission, a hard day, or a rainy day on patrol.
Now he understands why his father looks at his mother like he's a lovesick fool.
Because Katsuki Bakugo is now a lovesick fool.
As much as he wanted to keep his relationship with you a secret from his parents, he couldn't; Mitsuki was the first to notice the slight changes in her son's behavior whenever he came to visit them.
The woman felt quite happy at the news. She always thought her son deserved to be happy and wanted him to be, not only for achieving his goals but also because he deserved that unique affection despite all the fights and arguments they once had.
Mitsuki literally cried with happiness when Katsuki confirmed her suspicions.
And now you and Katsuki are on your way to his parents' house. The young hero's mother wanted, longed to meet the person who had entered her son's heart, and Masaru wasn't that far from meeting Mitsuki's level of desire.
"We're almost there," Katsuki commented as he kept his gaze straight ahead, his left hand on the steering wheel of his car while his right arm rested against the car window.
He couldn't deny that he felt a little nervous about this. He had never done this in his life, but he hid it well with that indifferent face.
Meanwhile, you were anxious, although you also hid it, you wanted your in-laws to like you, so you were somewhat restless and it showed in the way you drummed your fingers in your lap.
After about 5 more minutes of driving, Katsuki stopped the car in front of a two-story white house.
It had two large windows on the first floor and one on the second floor, with a blue front door and some plants at the foot of the door. In general, it didn't stand out much from other middle-class houses in the country.
