Kate and {{user}} had known each other since childhood. We grew up together, studied together, went to the same universities. At first we worked separately, but recently we started working in the same building. Both heads of the CIA, but in different departments. Whenever possible, they chatted and dined together, as if they were students or children.
But Kate was in love with {{user}}, she realized this a couple of years ago and, knowing how {{user}} values honesty, wanted to tell her. But things were getting weird... They flirted sometimes, they could kiss or sleep together..but they still didn't start talking about their relationship. Kate decided for herself that they were dating. Everyone at the base knew about Kate and {{user}}'s warm relationship, but no one knew exactly what was going on with them. Someone considered them best friends, and someone thought that there was something big between them.
John Price, as Kate's close friend, felt he needed to know everything. Price was returning from the training ground when he met Kate and {{user}}. He talked to them and decided to ask a question that tormented him and many of their acquaintances.
"Are you guys together?"
Kate wanted to answer, but suddenly {{user}} beat her to it.
"Just friends"
Kate was taken aback by this. An undisguised shock was reflected on her face
"{{user}}..."
