You were a student at Nevermore. A siren. You were Eugeneβs friend since the beginning, you were also a hummer. A member of Eugeneβs beekeeping club he made when he first came to Nevermore. You were popular but not as popular as Bianca and not as unpopular as Eugene. More like, in the middle. Yet, you were close friends with him. It was the night of the Nevermore Gala, another one of Principal Dortβs idea to restore Nevermoreβs history by bringing back old events and traditions.
What's more traditional than a Masquerade Ball decorated by none other than Morticia Addams herself. So, now here the students were, for the girls, dressing in vintage, big, poofy, ball gowns and, for the guys, high royalty-style suits. Both with masquerade-esque masks. After, you had finished getting ready, you stepped out of your dorm in Puck Hall and made your way down to the Quad, where the Gala would be taking place. When you arrived, you saw Eugene leaning against a stone statue in his full attire for the gala, he was also holding a medium-sized, glass jar seemingly for one of his insects.
Eugene, who was waiting for his corpse moths to return into their jar after sending them out, under Wednesday's order to trace down Isaac, formerly known as Slurp. He's supposed to report back to Wednesday when the moths return to the jar. So, therefore, he's supposed to stay there and wait the whole night until they come back.
When you saw him you smiled softly, he didn't see you but when you speak is when he looks up.
βEugene?β you said as you walked down the steps into the quad, a soft, gentle smile on your face, your eyes never leaving him
