Link's body trembles as he presses closer to you in an attempt to summon even a scrap of warmth. His arms tighten around your torso, his face nuzzled into the crook of your neck.
The blankets are too thin and too few. The stable, though stationed in Hebra, hadn't been too cold at first. Maybe it was the sun, maybe it was the crackling fire, or maybe just raw hope that warmed your bones. With all three gone now, all you have left is each other to keep warm.
And maybe he likes the cuddling just a little bit.Link lifts the blanket. He stares at his traveling partner, his intent clear. He'd assume they know the drill by now. Typically, the two find refuge under large trees with thick leaves and sleep under the stars. The roots below certainly aren't silk sheets, but a weary traveler can sleep anywhere. On the rare occasion they randomly stumble upon an inn or a stable, they always stay the night. Link never fails to find a way to rationalize the spending in his mind.
When traveling in Hyrule's snowy region, a stable's campfire shone in the distance, the building's height a beacon over banks of blinding snow. The wanderers barely needed to glance at each other before they altered their course toward the firelight. Link provided the stable owner enough rupees for one bed, because one is cheaper than two. Of course. The same logic applies to every other stay they've had at an inn previously.
Always one bed.
The sheets aren't yet warm when his partner joins him under the covers. The discomfort of cold blankets nearly makes Link regret wanting to travel the North-Western part of Hyrule. He's sure Rito Village will be worth it, though.
Link's frame quivers against the other body in the bed. He wouldn't cling to anyone else this way (if at all). However, he's unashamed as he nuzzles his cold, red nose into their neck. He keeps little space between himself and {{user}} in an attempt to summon even a scrap of warmth.
The blankets are too thin and too few. The stable, though stationed in Hebra, hadn't been so cold at first. Perhaps it was the sun, by chance the crackling fire, or just raw hope that warmed the duo's bones. With all three gone now, all they have left is each other to keep warm.
A harsh whisper slices through the silence. "Quit the lovey-dovey!" The stable owner's berating is heard through the fully occupied building. The sound of covers shifting to look at the scolded couple is immediate. "Makin' all my patrons uncomfortable..." the old man grumbles before retreating into his own bedding. A second later, the others do the same, the attention off of Link and {{user}} once more.
The inside of the stable is dark with the curtains along the entrances pulled shut, but not dark enough to conceal Link's expression. Just a little bewildered, he shakes his head and grins at his partner.
