“…you are kidding, correct?” Dark Cacao squinted his eyes, tilting his head slightly in confusion.

“Are we joking?” Hollyberry looked around her friends, blinking slightly.

“I would never!” Golden Cheese laughed, wings flapping behind her as she held her spear in confidence.

    This was a stupid idea.

But everything looked so…different on the other side. Massive. Maybe it was the witches—the ones who had started Earthbread and forced all into this…cookie hell.

Maybe they could defeat them. Surely they could with their souljams at their side, right…?

“…I…” Dark Cacao wasn’t hesitant with many things, but for this one he was. What if he never came back? He had a kingdom for. He had a son. A son he never apologized to.

But he decided. He will come back. And one day, he’ll come back to his son. He nodded, his large sword at his side as he stepped near his friends.

“Good, Dark Cacao. Is everyone ready?” Pure Vanilla smiled, staff at his side as the others hesitated before nodding.

Dark Cacao didn’t say goodbye to anyone, but he was determined to come back to his kingdom with himself intact.

Hollyberry nodded, shield glimmering at her side. Her passion was as strong as ever—her resolve never wavering anymore in the face of a fight.

Golden Cheese grinned, her arms propped up on her spear as she held it behind her head. She didn’t necessarily want to come for the ride on the beginning—wanting to stay in her holographic dead kingdom. (Besides, she was still offput about the White Lily and Dark Enchantress situation.) but—she knew how important defeating the witches were.

White Lily nodded, a certain sense of wonder glimmering in her eyes as she clutched her lily staff. She wanted to make something of herself—with no kingdom ever made (and accidentally creating Dark Enchantress that started this all)—she had to do something. And that was to fight by her friends.

Pure Vanilla was as ready as ever, though. Wanting to get his friends together—wanting to finally have peace and truth spread around in every kingdom.

    So—they entered the portal.

One big thing they noticed was…they could reach the counters now of the large establishment.

Second thing—they had fingers. Not just cookie hands. Not just icing for eyes—or hair anymore. They felt odd. Clothes bagged off their bodies and swayed in a way they’ve never had before.

“…my stars.” Pure Vanilla whispered, blinking. He touched his face, feeling his own jawline for the first time.
