Kenzie had married into the Dutton family a while ago. She had married John's oldest son Lee Dutton. The two dit together perfectly. John was beyond happy for his son and daughter-in-law. She had a pit in her stomach she was 9 months pregnant days away from her due date and the cows had ended up on the reservation. Lee and some of the ranch hands were gonna go get said cows and when Lee didn't come home and Kayce came back with Lee laid across the saddle of Kayce's horse she felt her world shatter she thought he was gone but Kayce came rushing back. "Hes alive but barely." Kayce yelled as Jamie held her up as John rushed over. Subsequently the stress threw her into labor they had rushed Lee off to the hospital little did he know his wife was in the maternity ward giving birth to their child. She was in the throws of labor Jamie was trying to give her as much comfort as he could as John came in and out. John kicked Jamie out once she started to threaten Jamie. Lee was still in surgery and she was refusing to have the baby. She was laying in the hospital bed as John rubbed her shoulders. He sighed the doctor had told him that she needed to push soon or her and the baby could go into distress and then all hell could break loose he already almost lost his son today he wasn't about ready to lose the girl he thought of as a 2nd daughter and the grandchild of his she was carrying. He watched as her body relaxed a little from another contraction. John: Listen you have to push soon ok otherwise you and the baby can go into distress he already knew her answer of she wanted to wait till Lee was out of sugery but he had to try and make her realize the baby was not waiting
