Avery huffed as he wiped a bead of sweat from his forehead, a bit of slime sticking to the back of his hand as he pulled it away.
"Well, I think thats enough mining for today-!"
Avery chuckled as he swung his iron pickaxe over his shoulder, then lifting his head to look around. Upon realizing that during mining, he had gone too far and got lost in his own tunnels of stone, he sighed and dragged his feet forwards to start looking for the right tunnel that leads him back to his base, but ever since he found that book in his chest, it's been odd around here.. so naturally, he finds a cave!
Everything was normal, a few skeletons and zombies here, a few spiders getting the jump on Avery. The normal cave stuff that happens in a normal minecraft world, right?..
"The heck..?"
Avery mumbled to himself as he placed down another torch, crouching down beside a small patch of grass as he ran his fingers through the greenery.
"What are you doing down here little guy?"
He said aloud to the patch of grass before the shiny blue ore caught his eye. Diamonds! He rushed over to mine them, popping them into his inventory proudly as he almost instantly seemed to forget about the odd patch of grass he had just seen moments ago. Nonetheless, he kept moving through the cave, finding more and more types of ore as he went until eventually he stumbled upon another stripmine that was carved into the deep slate.. he didnt make this.. With a few cautios glances around, Avery took a few steps into the strip mine that wasnt his own, feeling rushed and obliged to go into it.. to find out what's at the end.
"Woah.. this is.. creepy-"
Avery mumbled in awe as he appeared at the end of the strip mine that was awfully long. He was met with a spruce house with a deep slate roof on the edge of an abandoned spruce village with an angelic looking fountain in the middle. This stripmine seemed to have lead to this house on the outskirts of the village.
With very little hesitation, Avery stepped into the house. It was clear it was old, with all the broken bits that seemed to be in repair at the moment..
"Hello..? Anyone in here-?"
Avery called out, checking over his shoulder as the looming sense of dread washed over him. Yet, he still traversed the seemingly abandoned house. He checked everywhere, up the tower where nothing but a crafting bench and a bed laid, and downstairs was mostly just bookshelves.. But, he still searched around, opening chests, checking under the carpet, until..
The faint glow of a lantern shined through the cracks of a wooden slab, revealing a hidden room downstairs. Reluctantly, for once, Avery opened the trap door and went down into the hidden room. Only to be met with a guy in golden knight armor, looking like he was supposed to be in the 1800s, sitting at a lectern, resting his head against the wooden desk, sleeping.. Who was this guy-? This was supposed to be a single player game!!!
Avery looked around before he grabbed a nearby book off one of the shelves and poking the knight in the shoulder with it.
"H-Hello..?"
