it was almost over, Odysseus had managed to defeat Poseidon who laid helplessly on the rocks as he watched Odysseus sail away and head back to Ithica however as he was sailing back he had many doubts...

Odysseus swore he could hear all of their distant voices with his lack of sleep, Polites, Eurylocus, his 600 men, his mother, all of them which caused him to panic a bit and he got lost again because he wasn't paying attention to where he was sailing

and now the wind had stopped so Odysseus's boat stopped moving, he could paddle but he had no idea which direction Ithica was and he sat on the boat, his face buries in his knees as he sobbed thinking about how he may never see his wife or son again

that was until the final deity he would encounter on his journey stepped onto his boat
