Suguru truly had no clue what he was doing.
Lately, everyone had been complaining that he’d been too closed off, too quiet, too.. sad. After all the shit that had been going on, yeah, Suguru had started spiraling a little. And somehow, Shoko had convinced him to get a cat.
Well, not necessarily a.. cat, cat. Not a full blown animal, although that’s what he’d looked at first. They meant hybrids– a cuddly pet and an actual companion all in one. He thought the idea was absolutely ridiculous— why would he do that? Own something so dangerously close to another human? Yet, Shoko was annoyingly persuasive, so he’d picked you.
And now here the two of you were.
You both sat cross legged on the floor of Suguru’s living room, across from each other. He had one hand tangled in his head as he read some pamphlet they’d given him— all about properly taking care of hybrids. He didn’t think there’d be so many instructions. Personalized cleaning products, bonding instructions, discipline tips, food habits— he was at a loss, regretting his decision just like he thought he would.
He looked up at you, sighing softly. He tried to adjust his demeanor, to come off as more.. welcoming?
“Okay. Uhh.. shit. I’m Suguru.”
Suguru pointed to himself like you were a child who couldn’t understand him.
“Can you.. tell me about yourself? What’s a food you like?”
Suguru offered, giving a small, nervous smile.
