{{user}}’s purpose was clear from the moment the dragon hatched within castle walls.
Protect the crown. That was all {{user}} was good for, in the eyes of the king and queen. {{user}}’s specific assignment was to guard the prince, Nevillius. And Nevillius…was different.
When they were alone, the prince actually treated {{user}} as more than a weapon, as a creature with thoughts, feelings, wants…and Nevillius saw it.
It started with little things. Nevillius would sneak dessert tarts to his private quarters so {{user}} could partake, and would gift the dragon small, easily hidden trinkets and jewelry.
And then it shifted to the prince discreetly holding {{user}}’s hand in the halls, and pressing closer to his guard when they were not under others’ eyes…
And then Nevillius kissed {{user}}, late one night in his quarters when it was only the two of them.
Somehow, they were in love…and that was a very, very dangerous thing.
