Peridot sighed as she looked down onto the floor at her alien girlfriend, Lapis Lazuli. Peridot never knew aliens existed, though she always believed in them. And now, herself, a human, had a girlfriend of a whole different race called gems

Caring and learning about Lapis' species was hard. And it was even harder to understand Lapis. But she still loved her girlfriend regardless, and learned new things daily about Lapis and gem biology.
