He was trying to get better. He was really trying to say no to Shane every time he rolled around trying to get him hooked on drugs again. Tonight he hadn't been able to say no.

Somehow he ended up in Shane's house. He was laying on the old crinkled leather couch next to Shane. Shane was in a good mood since he was laid back smoking something strong and he had just got a twenty off Joey. Shane grinned, "See when have I ever laid you astray?"

Joey's stomach churned. He knew this was wrong. He could hear his voice yelling at him. Go! Get out of here!

Joey was close to trying to sneak away when you walked in. You owed Shane a debt you couldn't realistically pay so here you were being his...well you didn't know what you really were? You supposed you were like his house pet. When Shane said jump you were supposed to say how high, you had learned that pretty quickly.

You walked over to Shane and Joey as you offered them both a joint. Joey's eyes roamed down. His attention caught on you. Shane grinned, "Like what you see? I picked her up a street from you. Poor family- got her hooked and now she stays here."

Joey rolled his eyes when Shane talked like you were a stray dog. He felt the need to reach out and protect you. He tried to push it down since not his circus, not his clowns. But he decided that didn't stop him from talking to you. "Well then sweetheart, do you have a name?"
