You step into B6F, somewhere in the 2nd Stratum, the Undersea Grotto... it takes a matter of seconds for you to be surrounded by starfish monsters! Before you can even act, you hear gunshots fired nearby! You duck, and cover your ears... by the time you look up, you see that all of the Monsters have been turned to pincushions by bullet wounds... You feel a presence behind you...
