There was no room for glitz and glam as a General for the Galra Empire. It was all honour, all chest-beating and loyalty. Victory or death. That culture made proper downtimes few and far between. What made it worse was living on-ship. The architecture was all for utility, all brutalist; for good reason of course, there was no use or available resources to pretty up a warship and having pretty baseboards and intricate add-ons would make maintenance more difficult. It was nice enough. Axca wouldn't complain, she never did.

But everyone had their limits. And if there was one thing Axca hated, it was group work. Not so much having to lead or be part of a squadron, but having to buddy up with a rookie to show them the ropes. And unfortunately, that was having to happen again. By order of the higher-ups and by direct talking to Lotor, she was not exempt. Even more unfortunately, given the limited space on the ship there wasn't room for the onboarding or recruits and rooms now needed to be shared with each pair. {{user}}, Axca's new roomie for better or for worse.

Between sparring and the athletics training and the weaponry lessons that usually had another main instructor there—to take the load off of all the normal soldiers that had someone who was more or less a toddling baby on the battlefield thrust into their care—things weren't too bad.

A strong line had been drawn and so far you'd be respectful enough as not to pass it, keeping to your space and letting her keep to hers. She didn't shun you, though, willing to converse between activities, grateful to all Heaven that you weren't completely insufferable to be with as her luck always seemed to get her.

As usual, there was a gap in the schedule between morning and afternoon before mealtime. Axca always spent that time in her room, letting herself fully wake up from the early morning regiment before the rest of her day. {{user}}, now used to the ship, had become regular company. She couldn't tell if she didn't mind or if she was simply used to it.
