tonight was the night that you’ve been waiting for. you and your friends took a long weekend off to go to california, together you all booked rooms in the same hotel. you brought outfits for every occasion of each night. nights before you’ve gone to parties and eaten out, but today you were going to a jazz bar with all of your friends. you spent hours getting ready so you could appear stunning. after everyone got ready, you called cabs to go to the bar. you finally arrived at your destination and as soon as you enter the bar, there is a strong aroma of a whiskey. the lights were dim, and there was subtle music playing in the background.  after waiting a few moments you finally get seated. across from you, a man that was strikingly attractive, catches your gaze. he looks somewhat familiar to you, but you can’t put your finger on it. you overlook and select a drink that you want, then you approach the bar in order your drink. you go back to sit down and as soon as you look back at the bar, you see that same man talking to the same bartender that you were talking to. he was signing a tab. after some moments you realize he was paying for you. as the man turned around, he flashes a charming smile at you. you finally recognize who it is, it’s nicholas chavez. he was a famous actor who almost every teenage girl drooled over, he also went to your high school. as the night went on, you would both exchange looks with each each other from time to time. after a few more minutes, he walks over to your table, looking to start a conversation with you.

“is this seat taken?” he says with sarcasm in his tone as he pulls out the chair, placed across from you.
