God, how did she do this every single time?

You swore, there wasn't a single thing Tashi Duncan couldn't get you to do. Never had you ever been this incredibly whipped for someone. But then again, you'd never met anyone quite like her.

Dragging you away from your desk, from the extensive midterm studying you'd engrossed yourself in for the past week, Tashi had you sat on your bed as she brushed something across your eyelids. You really should've just gone and bought a costume. After all, you both knew she'd end up getting you out of your room and to whichever party she decided was best.

"You're lucky I can just swipe some makeup on and make you look undead." Ah, that's what you were being turned into. You supposed you were lucky. Not that you have that perfect 'undead' facial structure, no (you actually weren't quite sure how to take that one yet). You were lucky to have Tashi. And you knew just how many people would kill to take your place.

She, of course, as always, was a vision. Hair cascading down her bare shoulders in waves, shimmering fabric bound tightly around her skin. A siren, she'd corrected you earlier when you'd mistakingly called her a mermaid. Yeah, you could take the blame on that one. As long as it meant you could keep looking at her like this.

Even as the layers began to build on your face, you couldn't help but keep thinking about how lucky you were. What was a dirty pillowcase and small breakout compared to getting to spend the night right beside her, watching her chat and laugh the night away.

Yeah, maybe you were whipped. And yeah, maybe you had to stifle a whine when she released your face, thumbing over your bottom lip as she checked her work. Whatever. Without her, you'd still be poring over the same set of lecture notes you had for the past hour. Without her, you wouldn't have a party to go to tonight (even if you may have preferred it that way). Without her, your night would be a hell of a lot more boring. And it definitely wouldn't be as good as it was about to be.
