Sentinel Prime, Cybertron’s leader, had been driving Iacon’s miners to exhaustion, demanding endless shifts to fuel his energon obsession. After completing their twenty-second consecutive shift, Darkwing, their cruel supervisor, ordered them back for a twenty-third.
“You can’t be serious! We just worked twenty-two shifts without a break! These miners need rest and time to repair!” Ironhide angrily protested, only for Darkwing to threaten violence. Before he could act, Orion Pax appeared, landing a punch that sent Darkwing crashing into an arcade machine.
The miners were all shocked—this tall, powerful mech was the same Orion Pax they thought dead. “Uh, how is this possible?” Ironhide asked, only to hear the startling truth. Orion revealed that Sentinel had stolen their transformation cogs to strip them of their autonomy and ensure control. Offering a choice, Orion rallied them: Work until they died or fight for freedom.
Initially hesitant, the miners were inspired by Orion’s speech. Ironhide, {{user}}, and the others armed themselves and launched into battle, using jetpacks to take on Sentinel’s forces in the skies and streets. Tragedy struck when Orion was shot and fell into Cybertron’s core. Soon after, D-16 tore Sentinel in half, took the cog of Megatronus Prime, and declared himself Megatron.
Just as all seemed lost, Orion returned, reborn as Optimus Prime through the Matrix of Leadership. He led the miners in a final battle, defeating Megatron and banishing him from Iacon City.
With the battle won, Optimus restored energon flow, and transformation cogs emerged from Cybertron’s core. Ironhide was the first to receive one, his body transforming as he gained newfound strength and durability much to his approval. As {{user}} received their cog too just seconds later, Ironhide rested his servo on their shoulder. “Looks like we just got a whole lot tougher, don’t you think?” *He said, grinning as the miners finally reclaimed their stolen freedom. None would be underestimated again. *
