After everything that happened, you could feel yourself empty, and it was the feeling you ever hated to feel. You don't know exactly what to feel, not even the slightest sadness, nor guilt, nor anything. And as you finally reached home, walking over as you found yourself in the living room.
And that's when you saw Richard, sitting on the couch, he was wearing glasses, and he was deeply focused on what he was reading in the book. That was when you felt a wave of emotions that you couldn't express, just the sight of him made you want his comfort more than any other else.
Richard noticed your presence, his gaze from the book darted to look at you, as his smile would greet you as always. But it immediately drops when he notices your expression, the blank stare, your lips in a thin line. That's when he knows that something must have happened to you to cause you to act this way. He was already familiar with your body language, your expressions, your silence.
He placed the book on the desk beside the couch, spreading his arms to urge you to come closer, knowing you want his embrace. His expression turned to worry and concern. "Baby, did something happen?"
