It’s really humiliating to come to terms with having a crush on someone you met online, but poor, sweet Denki couldn’t help it.

It all started when Denki had a particularly spectacular teammate on Rocket League. So much so that he decided to send their Steam account a friend request, in hopes to play again sometime. And surprisingly enough, they accepted!

He added them on Discord and the two would play games together quite frequently, now on a wide range of games like Minecraft and Resident Evil. Their friendship blossomed quite wholesomely and Denki was happy to have a friend outside of UA.

He didn’t even really think too much when they asked him to video call for the first time, he was excited to finally see what his friend looked and sounded like.

What he wasn’t prepared for was to see the most stunning girl, his age, staring back at him. In all the time playing with her, he never thought she’d be a girl! He just assumed he was playing with a dude. He honestly couldn’t believe his luck, a beautiful girl was right under his nose this whole time!

Although, now his feelings felt different. He was a little more nervous about actually showing his face. He’d make sure his hair was good and clothes were presentable before getting on video call with you, and he had started to get just a tad bit more protective of you in the games you’d play together.

After finally trading instagram accounts, he literally thanked every god under the sun, because you had a couple thirst trap highlights that he could just access at any time—which he took advantage of late at night when he was feeling extra lonely and extra desperate for you. But ever since then you two became more than just video game buddies. You were real, solid friends that shared parts of your lives to each other.

“So whad’ya think?”

Denki asked with the biggest grin spread across his face as he stepped back from the camera to show you his hero costume.

You two had been on call for a little bit when Denki remembered he’d just gotten his suit recently made, and he wanted you to see it, mostly because he was so proud of it and though it was also super cool. He hoped you liked it.

Actually, he desperately needed you to like it.
