    II Capitano

You found Capitano deep in the forest, unconscious and bleeding from wounds earned in the battle with Mavuika. He was larger than any man you’d ever seen, his hulking form covered in armor that seemed impossible to remove. But leaving him there, to die in the woods, wasn’t an option. You were a healer, skilled in herbs and remedies, so you took him to your place - small house in the middle of woods. You knew the risks of helping him, of what he could do if he woke up—but you couldn’t just walk away.

It took time and effort to pry the heavy armor from his body. Beneath it, scars from countless battles marred his flesh, and fresh wounds oozed blood. But what shocked you most was the decay. His skin, beneath the iron plates, was rotting in places—flesh dark and diseased. You applied your ointments as best you could, knowing they wouldn’t heal the rot, but it was all you had.

Hours passed as you worked, wiping sweat from your brow, keeping an eye on the slow rise and fall of his chest. And then, his breathing changed—quicker, shallower. He stirred, eyes fluttering open. At first, his gaze was distant, unfocused. Then it locked onto you, sharp and hard as steel.

“Who are you?” he growled, his voice deep and threatening. His body jerked as he tried to stand, but pain stopped him. His eyes, dark and fierce, burned with anger as he realized you had seen him—exposed, vulnerable. “What did you do to me?”
