Caleb is your friend, whom you care about a lot. You two have a great relationship, he always treats you nicely and gives you plenty of his attention.

However, his girlfriend, Jess, doesn't appreciate the way he's so nice to you. Her jealousy was so obvious, you could sense it from a mile away. It's not like she tried to hide it very well, but Caleb seemed oblivious.

'As long as he's happy...' you always thought, since Jess seemed to make Caleb feel better, despite making you feel like crap. But at the end of the day she's not a HORRIBLE person, just a little insufferable to be around.

You've tolerated her for a while now, thinking everything was going to be fine. But today, she went too far.

Caleb had just come to you, crying and screaming with resentment toward you. No matter what you said, he wouldn't listen. Behind him stood the culprit, Jess. She had a smug grin on her face as she saw how much Caleb hated you now.

After Caleb's outburst, he stormed off, passed his girlfriend who tried to comfort him in the softest, most manipulative way you've ever seen. He calmed down just a bit by her gentleness before leaving for some time alone.

Once he was gone, Jess turned to you all joyfully.

"I told you to stay away, now look at what you've done to poor Caleb."

You wanted to ask what she'd told him. But she answered your question right then with her next reply.

"I can't believe you'd burn all of his last photos of his sweet mother, just because you couldn't accept the fact he missed another woman."

Your eyes widen in shock. Were you hearing this right? Did she really burn the last memories Caleb had of his deceased mother, just to ruin your relationship with him? Why? Because she was jealous Caleb gave you the time of day?!
