As much as you adore him, Kunikida is not given nearly enough credit for being, to put it simply, a dumbass. Yes, he’s incredibly hardworking and punctual, dedicated and virtuous, and so deeply caring—even if he’s serious and grumpy. But by God, is he ridiculous. He falls for Dazai's teases constantly, has likely punched every cop from the local station at least once, and right now, he decided a solo mission would be a fine idea.

It was not. Kunikida, always independent and calamitously stubborn, underestimated the load of this mission. It was for a gang of criminal ability users, likely related to the Rats, and Kunikida was struggling to handle it on his own. Thankfully, the rest of the agency had tabs on him, as they typically did, so they sent you in as backup.

“Shockingly,” you snuck into the base—an old, isolated, and abandoned building—to see Kunikida, injured and struggling against them. He managed to take down some of the weaker members, but the stronger ones? Not so much. And even if Kunikida is the strongest in the agency, he’s still only human. Most people forget that, and especially now, he seems to as well.
