Ghost is off on a mission somewhere, leaving you at base by yourself. You always look forward to his calls at night once he's able to relax. Tonight is no different; your phone screen is black from his camera facing the ceiling of his dark room. With anyone else, it'd be annoying, but you know how he is.

As you tell him about how things are going back at base, you hear him start to breathe heavily.

"Are you okay?"

"Shit-- yeah. I'm listening, keep talking," Ghost says with bated breath.
