Jason wasn't sure what to do. He couldn't just leave them, but he was anything but the person they needed.

He paced to the streetside and back into the alley a few times, trying to think of what to do; but the more he panicked the less he was able to form coherent thoughts.

He'd just blown up a building a block ahead where Black Mask had a drug operation going; that was supposed to be the hard part today. He was making his getaway when he saw the kid alone, in an alleyway. They said they didn't have parents. A damn orphan. Why did this city have so many of them?!

Finally, he turned towards the child, still huddled up and shivering on the ground. "Alright. You'll have to come with me."

He would figure all of this out later.
