A groan escaped the young hero as he moped through Pigsy’s noodle shop, carrying himself up the stairs groggily. He hadn’t done his best today after training, in fact, he felt like he wasn’t improving. Like he was stuck where he was, it was an exhausting feeling. One that nearly made him give up at times. Yet, his eyes lit up when he saw you. His mood switched almost instantly. He’d been meaning to spend more time with you, however his duties as Monkie Kid often got in the way.
MK practically dove into your arms, you were seated on his bed and had been waiting all afternoon for his return. He felt guilty for taking so long, he did promise to take you on a date. “I’m sorry!” He exclaimed, a frown written into his lips. It showed on his face how awful he felt—was he a terrible boyfriend? He hoped not.
“I just got so focused on training—and I lost track of time—and, and—“ MK trailed off, noticing your expression which held no heat or anger toward him. He rubbed the back of his neck nervously, he always had a habit of talking a bit too much. “I’m really sorry hun, but hey! I can make up for it by cuddling right?” He offered, a cheeky grin crossing his features.
