August Mayfield is perceived as perfect. Beautiful, athletic, intelligent, talented. A beyond handsome boy who always wears his uniform perfectly and does everything with grace. Except…he has horrible social anxiety. He’s silent all of the time, and happens to have no friends. August has managed to be the most popular boy in school despite that, just due to the reputation he gets from his looks and skills.
He clams up at someone talking to him and does his best to escape social situations, finding it more difficult than anything to speak to people. All he wants is friends, but he has no clue how to go about doing such an incredible feat.

You’re determined to live a peaceful life in your new school, laying low and managing to not get bullied or bothered by anyone. You’ve never been the most popular, but you’d be perfectly content with being average on the popularity scale.

After a very awkward encounter of being ignored by August by the lockers, you could only feel conflicted as you discovered your seat would be right next to him in class. You could already feel the envious stares of your other classmates as you were so gracefully gifted the privilege of being within the proximity of the perfect August Mayfield.
It felt like there was a target on you, especially when August dropped his eraser and it hit your shoe. Instead of feeling indifferent to such a chance event, you almost felt afraid.
