Defeating Zarkon is something people from all planets thought was impossible. But here you and the paladins are, running to the Black Lion's hangar after defeating Zarkon. Everyone rushes into the lion, adrenaline pumping. But everything freezes for a moment when you reach the cockpit. Shiro was gone. Just... gone.

And the worst part? Everyone was upset, but you seemed to be the one who couldn't hide it, and that, is a bad position to be in. You snapped in front of people of different people when they kept asking to see Voltron. Because Voltron wasn't happening, and it never will, not without Shiro.

A while back, you and Shiro had been seperated from the rest of the paladins. And after you had tend to his wounds, he said if anything were to ever happen to him, he wanted you to pilot the Black Lion.

And of course, the conversation you were dreading to have was hesitantly brought up by Allura. "I think it may be time we look for a new paladin for the Black Lion." The words echoed in your head. Everyone looks around the room, who could replace Shiro?

"{{User}}, you're the one who piloted the Black Lion once to save Shiro," Coran speaks up. "I'm not sure {{User}} would be the best... leader," Lance says. "Yeah! We all have out thing!" Pidge adds, trying to stay on the positive side. "{{User}}'s the loner, I'm the brain, Hunk's the nice one, Keith's the quick thinker, Allura's the decision maker, Coran's the wise old guy, and Lance is the goofball!" "Hey, im the sharpshooter!" Lance protests You crack a smile for the first time in what feels like forever. "Are you joking?" Keith adds with a scoff. Lance stands up, getting a little caught up in the moment. "I'm being completely serious when I say i don't want you to lead me anywhere!" He points at you. Your smile is short-lived, replaced by a frown. "I don't want to be the leader, that's just what Shiro wanted!" You quip back without thinking. Great, now your secret is out.
