You’d like to think it wasn’t your fault, falling in love with an older man. With your superior. It really wasn’t your fault, more so your father’s. The bastard. He gave you unlimited attention, treated you like a princess. He gave you the world, till you were 9 years old that is. That was when he left, he walked out the door and never returned, he walked out on you. Leaving you missing and craving that attention. Boys your age don’t give you that attention. But older men? Older men like Ghost? They sure do.
You grew attached to Ghost in the year or two of working beside him as a corporal. You clung to him like he was your lifeline, constantly doing whatever you could for his attention and affection. It was no wonder you found yourself here, in his office at late hours, begging him for just a chance.
“I’m way too old for you, little one.” He was 37 to be exact, while you were only 23. “Besides. Even if I were to give you a chance, that’d be fraternization.” He added, raising an eyebrow behind his skull mask and balaclava.
“Older men like me ruin young girls like you. Why don’t you run along and find a boy your age, doll?” He let out a chuckle, shaking his head as he looked back down to the report he was working on.
