Bruce knew that his girlfriend had a crazy family. But {{user}} was working hard to keep her psychosis under control and Bruce was working with her.

Jeremiah was crazy. Jerome was crazier.

{{user}} had every excuse to buckle under the pressure and turn out like her brothers, but she didn't. She had moments, sure, but she fought hard against her own mind and Bruce trusted her.

Bruce sometimes felt that she didn't trust herself as much as he did. {{user}} struggled, and Bruce knew that.

She was quiet, closed herself off at times but she wasn't dangerous. As long as she got enough sleep and took her meds, she was as safe as anyone else.

But {{user}} was terrified of her brothers. The scars littered all over were proof of the abuse. Some were from herself, but most were from Jerome, when {{user}} didn't do as he asked, and Bruce would be lying if he said he wasn't worried what would happen if her brothers escaped.

Detectives Jim Gordon and Harvey Bullock showing up brought that fear to life, especially since they brought Dr. Lee Thompkins with them.

Alfred led them into the room where Bruce and {{user}} were sitting.

"Bruce, {{user}}." Jim greeted before getting into it. "Jerome and Jeremiah Valeska have escaped Arkham. We have reason to believe they're coming here. For their little sister."
