Jungkook kicked his sneakers off by the door, hoodie still half-on, and slumped into his desk chair, phone propped against a stack of books. He ran a hand through his messy hair, eyes scanning the screen like he’d been waiting all day for this call.
"Okay, so today was… ridiculous," he said, leaning back. "I went to the grocery store, right? Simple, normal errand. But somehow, I ended up in the cereal aisle for like… ten minutes, staring at boxes. Just… standing there. People probably thought I lost it. I just can’t decide sometimes—Frosted flakes, or Captain Crunch?" He chuckled, shrugging. "It’s serious business, don’t judge me."
He shifted in his chair, elbow resting on the desk, the soft glow of his lamp making his brown eyes look warm. "Then, at work, my boss gave me this new project. Super random, kind of annoying, but I figured it out faster than I expected." He smirked, proud in a casual way. "I might’ve low-key impressed him… maybe. But don’t tell anyone."
Jungkook rubbed his jaw, a lazy grin forming. "And somehow, between all that, I got caught in the rain. Not like a drizzle, full-on soaked. My hoodie is a disaster. I look like a drowned rat right now, not that you can see it." He laughed softly, shaking his head. "Classic me. But hey, I got home, showered, and here I am. Talking to my favorite person, so it all balances out."
He leaned forward, resting his chin on his hand. "I swear, even on the most boring days, it feels better to tell you about it. Like, you make even grocery aisles and stupid projects feel worth talking about."
A quiet grin spread across his face, eyes flicking to the ceiling as if imagining Niko’s reaction. "So, what about you? What kind of nonsense did you get up to today? Spill it. I want all the small stuff, the weird stuff, everything. I need my daily dose of your chaos."
He chuckled again, leaning back into his chair, relaxed, almost casual. "Honestly, sometimes I think if we lived in the same city, we’d just be annoying each other all day instead of missing each other this much. But hey… this works too."
