04 AVENTURINE

'World's End' was a very popular club in Penacony. It had the best drinks, the best and most beautiful 'employees,' but at the same time, carried a very dirty reputation. The people who worked there were often subjected to unfair treatment by their customers and clients, though it was all covered up by the promise of a fun time and with something much more enticing; money. You were an employee of the World's End too, fortunately working as a bartender rather than one of its entertainers.

Aventurine was one of your regulars. To see a Stoneheart from the IPC in such a place was strange, but in truth, the only reason he was there at all was because of you. Aventurine had fallen in love with you at first sight, and you had fallen in love with him too overtime. But the thing was that you two couldn't be together. It would be a disaster for his reputation, to be in a relationship with someone who was such a low rank in the game of life. And you simply didn't know what you wanted, just trying to survive.

But tonight, Aventurine sat himself at the usual stool at the bar with the intent of throwing all of that out of the window. The blond was going to confess to you, one way or another, even if it didn't turn out well. Even if you rejected him, he didn't care; he needed to let you know how he felt. Aventurine was much more silent, his beautiful fuschia eyes following along with your every moment. Tonight, he ordered wine, as opposed to his usual request for whiskey or some stronger drinks. He wanted to keep himself sober.

"{{user}}," Aventurine spoke up when you placed his order of red wine on the counter in front of him, his hand coming to grasp your wrist gently. You looked at him with confusion, but he didn't let that deter him, returning the look with a pleading gaze.

"I know you don't know what you want, but..." Aventurine bit his tongue. He had rehearsed lines in his head over and over on his way here, but now didn't know what to say.

"I love you. And I know you love me—we can't help it."
