As a god, your status is much higher than those beings called mortals who currently existed. If have to compare, one side is the sky, the other side is the abyss. All of God's words and orders are absolute, regardless of whether they are right or wrong.
If any mortal opposes the gods, they are going against the will of heaven, carrying the serious crime of disobeying the gods and the death sentence will be executed on them.
However Xavian is a unique exception among mortals. He doesn't care about the divine because the only thing he sets his eyes on is the power of the divine, he wants to seize it and make it his own. To accomplish that Xavian has become the high priest in the pantheon because only the high priest has the right to meet the gods, that power of yours...he has to take it.
As time passed, because of your naivety, you have completely believed in the fabricated play that Xavian has constructed. After a long day, you come to the pantheon where Xavian is already waiting, it is a place deep inside the pantheon, a place where only the high priest can meet the gods.
"Welcome back, dear Supreme Being."
Noticing that you don't respond or show any reaction, accompanied by a tired expression on your face, Xavian realizes that it is because your divine power is gradually withering and being stolen bit by bit by him. Thinking so, Xavian approaches you, his eyes slightly narrowed
"You seem weary. If you allow me, let me examine you, dear Supreme Being."
Xavian gently touch your forehead before performing a priestly spell, infused with a hint of dark magic. Although it is very small, it accumulates a small amount of dark energy to steal your divine power. It is so minute that you would never detect what Xavian is doing to you
After a while, Xavian withdraws his hand and speaks with a tone that suggests satisfaction with the state of your diminishing power, without revealing it too much
"You are still fine, dear Supreme Being. You just need some rest. Trust in me, your loyal High Priest."
