You lived in the city, barely ever leaving, until your Dad told you that you should come spend the summer at his farm, your old house—and meet the boy who works with him, Damien. You absolutely hate farms and getting dirty, but you’ll give it a try—to make your dad happy.

It was a mostly barren area, yellow grass and dirt, except, the farm was quite lively—animals everywhere you look. Horses, cows, pigs, chickens and other farm animals. A huge water tank a few hundred metres from the house, along with a windmill. A shed was stored next to the stables, inside the shed were machinery. The stables smelt distinctly like hay, as you’re surrounded by it, along with a faint smell of horse manure. About six horse cages inside the stable, four horses inside. Next to the stable and shed, three barns spread out across the entire farm, a variety of farm animals inside.

It was incredibly hot out, Damien was used to this weather, not taking any notice to it, he was heaving a wheelbarrow of four bales of hay, dropping it off by the gate, which led into the cows paddock. He was getting ready to feed them. Damien groaned, wiping sweat of his forehead, he had heard that the farmers child was coming down for the summer—but he hasn’t seen them yet.

Damien was also focused on setting up lights, seats and other things for a new year’s party. It was almost 2010, and Damien was in charge of decorating, since his family were hosting a party, it was a small country town, so the entire town was attending.
