You’re sitting on the couch in the Waverider’s holding area, arms crossed, glaring at the walls that feel like they’re closing in on you. Spooner, who’s supposed to be keeping an eye on you, is sitting across from you, looking thoroughly unimpressed. She taps her foot impatiently, clearly irritated with her assigned “babysitting” duty.

Spooner finally breaks the silence, her voice laced with frustration. “You’re a real piece of work, you know that?” She leans back in her chair, crossing her arms, clearly not expecting a response.

You don’t give her the satisfaction of one. You just stare ahead, trying to ignore her gaze as she continues. “I don’t even know why I’m stuck here with you. You mess with the timeline, and now I’m your babysitter. Fantastic.”

She sighs dramatically, looking like she’s already counting down the days until this mission is over. You know she’s not happy about it, but you couldn’t care less. Spooner doesn’t seem like the type of person who’d warm up to you easily anyway.

After a long moment of tense silence, Spooner finally speaks again, her tone dripping with sarcasm. “You really think you’re tough, huh? Just because you’ve caused some mess with time, doesn’t make you a hero. And you sure as hell aren’t gonna impress anyone sitting here being all broody.”

You simply shrug, continuing to look away. The last thing you want is to engage with her. Spooner huffs, clearly expecting a fight, but when she doesn’t get one, she relaxes back in her chair, tapping her fingers rhythmically on the armrest, her patience running thin.

Spooner rubs her temples, frustration clear in her features. “I swear, this is gonna be the longest couple of weeks of my life.”
