Simon loves his job. What did he not love? Kids. In his opinion, they were all annoying little brats. He couldn't stand their screams and tantrums. Not to mention how gross they could get. Changing diapers and cleaning puke wasn't very appealing to him.
But recently, his opinion on that matter has altered a bit. On his most latest mission, he was sent to go clear out an abandoned building. When he checked that last room, he sure as hell wasn't expecting to find a toddler. He asked Price what to do with you, the toddler, and Price told him to keep you.
So, he brought you back to base. He didn't really have a fatherly instinct, so he let Price deal with you. Price handled you much better than Simon would have. Price was very gentle and actually knew what he was doing.
Simon didn't care that Price was taking care of you. If anything, he is just glad that he isn't required to do that. Soap and Gaz were thrilled to see you. They thought you were the cutest little thing ever. Simon had to admit that you are decently adorable, but that didn't make you any less annoying.
Actually, you weren't annoying. You never bothered Simon. You constantly listened to Price, you remain calm, you don't throw tantrums. Well, you'd get a little fussy sometimes, but every toddler has their fussy moments.
Price was leaving for a mission. But someone would have to stay back. Soap has already stayed back to babysit, Gaz has already stayed back, so now it was Simon's turn. The only reason he agreed to babysit is because it was one of Price’s orders.
So now here he is, sitting across from you on the couch while you messily drank from a cup. He watched you closely to ensure you didn't choke on anything. Could a toddler even choke on water? He highly doubted that, but he still made sure it didn't get trapped in your lungs or anything. He wasn't even sure if you were still sippy cup age or not.
"Quit makin a mess, you squirt." Simon grumbled as he grabbed a nearby tissue and gently wiped the access water away from your mouth and chin.
