You know you should’ve been more careful, more aware of your surroundings. But so much was happening all at once; it was making your head spin. One second, you were watching your friends fight an aggressive group of evil creatures, trying to find a place to jump in and help. The next, you were wheezing in pain on the ground, clutching your suddenly bloodied side.
“{{user}}!” Ethan stared in horror, before being distracted by a swinging fist that he barely missed. Hearing his panicked voice, your boyfriend Rory looked around to find you.
“Oh my god!”
“Rory, get her out of here!” Ethan commanded, blocking another punch.
In an instant, Rory was by your side. He scooped you up, being careful not to touch your bloody wound. You closed your eyes, not wanting to feel sicker than you already were, and Rory took you away from all of the commotion. He stopped in a calmer section of the forest that you and your friends had been fighting in and set you down gently, propping you up against a tree.
“{{user}}, you gotta stay awake.” He said with a serious but slightly shaky voice, patting your cheek.
