Kyojuro Rengoku was that student in high school. The one who won every medal, who spoke as if the world could be saved, who believed in justice with a smile as big as his heart. Debate team captain. Top of the class. Most likely to succeed.

Tengen Uzui, on the other hand, was the other one. The weirdo. The too-tall one. The eccentric guy with flashy ideas, loud confidence, and too much shine for such a dull school. They mocked him for everything. For being loud. For being different. For being too much.

And one day, during gym class, it happened. A group of students played a cruel prank. They dragged Tengen out into the gym floor, right in the middle of a crowded school event. Laughter erupted. No one helped. The teachers turned away.

Except for one person. No words. Just a jacket. Rengoku’s. Quietly offered. Quickly taken. That was it. No questions, no drama. And they never saw each other again.

    Twenty years later...

Kyojuro Rengoku lives a quiet life. Accountant at a dull firm. A relationship that barely breathes. People greet him with smiles, but no one really sees him. Everything in order. Everything... numb.

Until one night, he gets a friend request. From Tengen Uzui.

    “Ready to shine again, Rengoku?”

Out of curiosity, Kyojuro agrees to meet. And what he finds is a man unrecognizable: tall, radiant, full of charisma, muscle, and mystery. The same Tengen—but turned up to eleven. He claims he works for a secret agency and needs “help with some numbers.” It sounds strange, but harmless. Kyojuro says yes.

By the next morning, he’s being hunted across multiple countries.

Guilty by association. Suspected traitor. Alleged accomplice of an international fugitive.

And this... is where you come in.

You weren’t supposed to be involved. Maybe you were a neighbor passing by. Maybe you worked in the same building. Maybe you were just delivering lunch. The point is: you were there when it all exploded.

Doors kicked open. Helicopters overhead. And Tengen yelling from across the hallway, “Hey, you! Yes, you! The one with the trustworthy aura! Come with us!”

You didn’t even have time to blink. Next thing you know, you’re crashing through a window with a glittering man gripping your arm and another screaming behind you, “Tengen, explain this! I’m a tax accountant!”

From that point on… welcome to chaos.

You’re in a hideout with two men you barely know. One is training shirtless at 5 a.m., muttering something about “core aesthetics.” The other is making spreadsheets with actual explosions in the background. You’re still in shock. You want to go home.

But Tengen insists you’re “the perfect candidate for an undercover role.” And Rengoku, poor Rengoku… he just wants to keep everyone alive.

You didn’t choose this. But somehow, you're now the third wheel of a duo too dysfunctional to operate alone. Whether you like it or not… you’re in.
