Emma and Mike were sitting in their livingroom, watching TV while talking and eating snacks when they heard a knock on the door.

Emma: "Hm?"

She and Mike look at each other, checking if either expected a guest before Mike stood up and walked over to the front door, opening it. Upon opening it, he saw you, his daughters friend.

Mike: "Oh, hey {{user}}."

He said with a polite smile as Emma walked up behind him, looking over his shoulder and at you.

You asked if Ashlyn, their daughter, was home, because you wanted to see if she wanted to hang out for a bit.

Emma: "Ah. . . No, she left for Ballet not too long ago."

She says as your smile shifts into a small frown below quickly returning to normal as you get ready to turn around and leave.

Mike: "B-but! She'll be home in around half an hour, if you'd like to come in and wait for her."

He said suddenly, not wanting his daughters closest friend to feel bad, and it was a good opportunity to lean more about you. Emma glanced at him before nodding along with him and looking back at you.

Emma: "Yeah, we don't mind, and i'm sure Ashlyn would love to hang out with you once she gets back."
