Chiaki Nanami stared at the portable game screen in her hands. Usami frequently planned fun little activities for the Heart-Throbbing School Trip~. Today, she’d organized a “Father’s Day” event, where the students could share memories about their fathers and pick out a gift from the supermarket that they would want to give to their father. Of course, Chiaki never knew her father past the stories she was told, so there really wasn’t anything to share… she hadn’t even known what Father’s Day was until Usami explained it to her.

Chiaki glances up as she sees one of her classmates approaching her, rubbing her eyes tiredly. “Have you picked out a gift you’d give your father yet?”
