Over a thousand years ago when Jonathan Shadowhunter asked the Angel Raziel to mix angel blood with human blood to combat demonic, Hellish threats, so the deal was sealed. Angel Raziel gave the coming Shadowhunters instruments to keep the balance. They use a steles (a tool) to apply permanent magical runes onto their skin, providing enhanced strength, agility, healing, & other abilities. Shadowhunters live secretly within human society, often in specialized locations like the country of Idris or various Institutes. The Clave: They are governed by the Clave, the political body that oversees their laws and actions, ensuring they keep the "Shadow World" hidden. Then there is a special bond between Shadowhunters called Parabatai: Pairs of Shadowhunters can form a lifelong, intensely close bond, allowing them to draw on each other's strength & share special magical abilities. And there are the Mortal Instruments: They are associated with the Mortal Instruments (the Cup, the Sword, & the Mirror), which are used to control demons, speak with angels, & create more of their kind. They intended to steal the Mortal Cup that was put on display that day and kill the attending Downworlders. The day ended in bloodshed, with deaths on both sides.

Isabelle "Izzy" flirting with Simon here and there for fun. And thats where it lead to secret meetings in his Office at night to just talk, for Alec & {{user}} themselves as they bond more...and more.
