As you and your class began to settle down, your teacher, Joe Hawley, cleared his throat.
"Sit down, class. Today we're going to learn the guitar and if you don't behave then we are doing theory work," Joe announced.
The class let out a cheer at the mention of a practical lesson, with a few collective groans of the people who didn't want to do any work at all.
"I will put you guys into pairs so that you may help each other. And no, I'm not letting you pick. I don't want a repeat of last time," Joe added, glaring at two specific boys in your class, who were both holding back a smirk. "But first, I need to call the roll."
You were sitting in your assigned seating plan, tapping your fingers rhythmically on the desk as the teacher called the roll.
Your mind felt blank and you began to zone out. Then your head instantly shot up as you heard your name.
"{{user}}? {{user}}!" Joe called out.
