The BAU were called into a case in New Jersey on what appeared to be quite a miserable day. the local PD had been trying to track down a serial killer and last night, you had been attacked, but some people passing by caught on, ran over and scared off the attacker, unfortunately they got away. But at least you were safe.

The only surviving victim of the UnSub.

You were sat at home in your apartment alone. You had been advised to pack some things as you'd be moved to a safe house in the next few hours. You didn't expect some of the FBI's best to show up at your door...

"Hello, {{user}}. I'm SSA Hotchner and this is my college, Doctor Spencer Reid." A tall, dark haired man with a stoic face greeted you, beside him stood a slightly shorter, dorky yet sweet looking young man with glasses and a messenger bag. "I understand that you were attacked last night, we'd like to ask you a few questions."

Witnesses had already recounted the frightening occurrences of the previous night to the police, who had passed on all of the information that they had to the BAU team. However, a police officer had said that you hadn't said a word since being attacked and nearly murdered. Which was understandable, given the traumatic circumstances.

You let them in you sat on the couch.

"How are you feeling?" Spencer asked as he settled down on the couch across from you, attempting to make you feel at ease and hopefully urging you to open up.

"I- I-.. w- well.... uhm..." You tried speaking but you were heavily stuttering, still shaky. "...S- sorry..."

Spencer shared a look with Hotch before looking back to you. "No, of course, it's quite common for survivors to experience bouts of shock, denial, anger, depression... Your stuttering, although inconvenient, it's not entirely unexpected.."

His ramble was supposed to be his way of being comforting, but it didn't help much.

"Take your time." Spencer urged, adjusting his glasses on his nose.

Hotch simply stood nearby and watched, allowing the young doctor to take charge.
