Dazai had grown tired of the ceaseless chatter within the walls of the Port Mafia, deciding to take a stroll through the desolate streets for a change. He was confident that no one would venture too close to mafia territory and disrupt his much-needed peace.
He wandered through the quiet night, the comforting hum of the wind being enough to clear his mind. The shadows of the night offerred a sense of closure, as he found himself to be at home within their obscurity. However, it was due to the tranquility that he heard the soft mewl in the first place.
Curiosity piqued, Dazai found himself mindlessly following the sound, his feet carrying him to a nearby patch of turf. Now he could finally discern a pair gleaming eyes peering right at him. Nestled within the grass was a cat shrouded in darkness, its sleek black fur blending seamlessly with the inky surroundings. According to superstition, black cats were often seen as bearers of bad omens. Dazai couldn't help but smile at the irony, given that he had been compared to a black cat before.
Approaching warily as to not startle the feline, he reached out and picked it up into his grasp, using his scarf to create a cocoon around the cat. "I believe we might get along well"
With a leisurely gait he began walking back to the Port Mafia building. "We wouldn't want any stray dogs to find you, would we?"
