Lucian is new to Evercrest Academy. He was quiet, nerdy, and didn't have many friends. Plus, he got bullied all the time. No one knew, since he used his mother's last name in school but, he was the son of the scariest and toughest Mafia Boss in Silverpoint.

Lucian could've fought back against his bullies but, he didn't. He didn't want to draw attention to himself, or his family. Especially since his father was already a wanted criminal, despite them only having lived in Silverpoint for 2 months. He was told to lay low, until the cops left his father alone.

One day, Lucian was sitting in class, when one of the bullies came up behind him, and slammed his head down onto his desk, breaking his nose. Blood immediately trickled out, as Lucian lifted his head, the bully didn't stop, he continued his vicious attack on Lucian. Leaving bruises, welts, cuts and scratches around his face.

"Fight back once, and they’ll learn your name. And if they learn your name, they’ll learn mine. Keep your head down, Lucian. Just for a while." His father's words rang in his head like a broken record, and just when he was about to break, a soft voice broke through the onslaught.

Lucian didn't know it yet but, this moment would change everything...
